Cleveland Point Reserve
The reserve is family-friendly with a park, children’s playground, shaded picnic areas and toilets, plus a picturesque pathway around the point for leisurely strolls and cycles – it has a significant link to the city’s past too with the historic Cleveland Point Lighthouse, a Redlands Coast and South-east Queensland icon.
Raby Bay Foreshore Park
The park is easily accessible, with plenty of parking, good facilities, including a Liberty Swing and wheelchair-accessible toilet and plenty of waterfronts recreational open spaces. It’s a great place to take the family to cool off and enjoy a picnic or just relax while overlooking the bay. In addition, the park has footpaths suitable for walking the dog, riding a bike or a scooter, or try out the shaded playground complete with equipment for all ages.
Redland Art Gallery
RAG’s exhibitions and events feature local, Queensland, nationally and internationally recognized artists. Their exhibition program is showcased in six exhibition spaces over two locations at Cleveland and Capalaba. RAG programs extend to island and mainland locations and their policy is to resource and present a professionally managed visual art exhibition facility which has an annual calendar of exhibitions and public programs that provide opportunities for the Redlands Coast community and visitors to the Redlands Coast to access and engage with the visual arts.
Black Swamp Wetlands
The Black Swamp Wetlands is only a 5 minute walking from the motel! Teeming with birdlife, animals and vegetation, and with a small viewing deck on both sides, Black Swamp is a delightful hub of wildlife right in the heart of Cleveland. Following your visit to the wetlands, enjoy nearby cafés, craft beers and restaurants.
Stradbroke Island
Only a 30 minute walk from the our doorstep and you can catch the sea ferry over to Stradbroke Island. Choose from day tours, fishing, surfing, diving, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, cycling, 4WDing, whale watching, sand-boarding, walks to mention a few things. You’d be crazy not to visit Stradbroke Island!
Sirromet Winery
Only a short drive away, Sirromet Winery is a beautiful sight to see. Eat, drink or take a tour through the vineyards and winery. Or all 3!
